The company's flagship technology is the WWW BIOCOS hybrid activated sludge process, a cyclic system that uses two aeration tanks (AIR tanks) hydraulically connected to two alternating settler tanks (ALT tanks) — all driven exclusively by a single blower system with no in-tank mechanical equipment. BIOCOS achieves up to 50% nitrogen removal within the ALT tank sludge blanket through denitrification, and operates at 50% higher mixed liquor suspended solids in the aeration tanks compared to conventional systems.
