WTT - Waste TreatmentTechnologies Netherlands B.V.
About
WTT (Waste Treatment Technologies Netherlands B.V.), headquartered in the Netherlands and ISO 9001 certified, designs, builds, services, and optimizes organic waste treatment facilities across their entire lifecycle. With over 130 facilities installed worldwide and more than 25 years of experience, WTT positions itself as "The Organics Mechanics" for composting and dry anaerobic digestion operations. The company's core technology is its In-Vessel Composting (IVC) tunnel system—robust concrete tunnels with forced floor aeration, individually controlled per batch, enabling tailor-made treatment recipes for each tunnel. Over 1,300 WTT tunnels have been built globally. The modular tunnel design ships on skids for faster installation and simplified commissioning, with integrated water and heating modules for climate control. Complementing the tunnel hardware, WTT provides a SCADA control and visualization system with fully automated seasonal recipes, detailed variable trending, energy management, and batch tracking for permit compliance, plus remote monitoring by WTT engineers. Beyond composting, WTT offers a Bio-drying System that reuses residual process heat via a hot water circuit to reduce moisture and increase caloric value, a Heat Harvest module that captures thermal energy generated during composting, and Air Treatment systems for recusing facility air pollutants. The NIR Machine uses near-infrared technology to remove foils and plastics from the waste stream. A recent product launch, the Spigot Sweeper, automates cleaning of spigot floors in tunnel facilities to maintain airflow and process stability. WTT also provides operations support, training, and optimization services for underperforming plants. Leadership includes Managing Director Alexander Horvath and Director of Strategy & Growth Tjeerd van den Berg.
