WaterSam GmbH
About
WaterSam GmbH, based in Balingen, Germany, was founded in 1996 by former employees of Edmund Bühler GmbH and has since become a leading manufacturer of automatic water and wastewater samplers and monitoring stations, with distribution across more than 35 countries. All products are engineered and built exclusively in Germany. The company's product range covers portable samplers (WS Porti, WS Compact), wall-mount samplers (WS 98, WS 98 Assist, WS 98 F with freezing capability), and stationary samplers (WS 312, WS 316, WS 316 SE self-emptying, WS 316 SR self-rinsing, WS 316 EX II for ATEX explosive atmospheres). WaterSam's monitoring stations upgrade any sampler into a complete monitoring system by integrating water quality sensors directly in the sample stream or in dedicated monitoring vessels, enabling event-triggered sampling when parameter thresholds are exceeded. Three configurations are offered: standard samplers with external sensors, the WS 316 MS with a built-in single-sensor monitoring glass, and the WS 316 GMS large double-cabinet station supporting multiple sensors. The company also provides a range of sampling systems — vacuum, peristaltic pump, isolation valve (INLINEvent), PRF water switch, and VacuPress for deep sampling — plus the XY Distributor for discrete sample distribution and intelligent sensors that operate without expensive transmitters. WaterSam is a member of the German Water Partnership.
Key Products
Portable automatic sampler for mobile water and wastewater sampling applications, allowing flexible deployment at multiple monitoring points.
Compact-form-factor portable automatic sampler for water and wastewater sampling where space is limited.
Wall-mount automatic sampler for fixed installation at wastewater treatment plants and monitoring stations, available in standard and Assist variants.
Wall-mount sampler with freezing capability for preserving samples requiring refrigeration below standard temperatures.
Compact stationary automatic sampler for continuous unattended water and wastewater sampling in fixed installations.
Full-size stationary automatic sampler for wastewater and water sampling with larger capacity for long-term monitoring programs.
Self-emptying stationary sampler that automatically drains collected samples, reducing maintenance for long-term unattended monitoring installations.
Self-rinsing stationary sampler that automatically cleans the sampling line between collections, preventing cross-contamination between samples.
Explosion-proof stationary sampler designed for ATEX-rated hazardous environments, sampling in explosive atmospheres such as industrial wastewater with volatile compounds.
Monitoring station with built-in monitoring glass for a single water quality sensor, enabling simultaneous sampling and real-time parameter measurement.
Large double-cabinet monitoring station combining a sampler cabinet and monitoring cabinet for multiple sensors, providing comprehensive water quality monitoring with event-triggered sampling.
Discrete sample distribution system that deposits individual samples into specifically reserved containers, enabling event-based sampling when parameter thresholds are exceeded.
Vacuum pump sampling system for pressure-free conditions, drawing samples from open channels and wet wells.
Peristaltic pump-based sampling system for precise sample volume control with flexible intake hose routing.
Inline sampling system for extracting samples from pressurized pipes without disrupting flow, enabling event-triggered sampling in full-pipe conditions.
Combined vacuum and pressure sampling system for collecting samples from large depths, suitable for deep well and sewer monitoring applications.
Water switch sampling system for pressurized pipe conditions, enabling automatic sample extraction from water mains and pressurized networks.
