Watera International S.A. is a Luxembourg-based water treatment engineering group listed on the Paris Euronext stock exchange, active since 1963 with installations in over 60 countries. Headquartered at 15 Boulevard Roosevelt in Luxembourg, the company maintains direct operations in France, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, and the Czech Republic, and recently expanded its portfolio by acquiring Osmosun in October 2025 for solar-powered desalination technology. Watera designs, manufactures, and installs water treatment and water reuse systems across five core technology platforms: reverse osmosis desalination (with total installed RO capacity exceeding 400,000 cubic meters per day, split 40% seawater and 60% brackish water), filtration and ultrafiltration (with installed capacity exceeding 800,000 cubic meters per day), electrodeionization and deionization (over 50,000 cubic meters per day), water recycling and reuse systems, and containerized modular treatment plants. Watera employs a vertically integrated manufacturing approach with stringent quality control, producing everything from small skid-mounted units to large-scale desalination plants. Its SWRO (seawater reverse osmosis) systems address coastal and island water scarcity, while BWRO (brackish water reverse osmosis) units serve inland applications. The EDI systems produce high-purity water for pharmaceutical and power applications, and the containerized plant format enables rapid deployment for emergency or temporary installations.
