Vogelsang GmbH & Co. KG, founded in 1929 and headquartered in Essen (Oldenburg), Lower Saxony, Germany, is a family-owned mechanical engineering group employing over 1,300 people across 30 subsidiaries and representatives in more than 50 countries. The company has been recognized as Germany's innovation leader by Prognos AG and produces its equipment in-house at the Essen facility and additional plants in Germany and abroad. Vogelsang's wastewater division serves three application areas: sewage treatment plants, sewerage and pump stations, and mobile pump deployments. The core product portfolio includes rotary lobe pumps in six series (IQ, VX, EP, FX, R, and VY) plus the LoadMaster heavy-duty variant, progressive cavity pumps (CC series, HiCone, ProCap T), wet grinders (RotaCut, XRipper), the RedUnit solids grinder, the DisRuptor disintegration system, the XSplit separator, and debris management systems (DLU, DRS, DebrisCatcher). For biogas applications, the CC-Mix and PreMix solid matter feeders handle substrate preparation and feeding. The IQ series is designed for space-constrained installations, while the VX series handles high-throughput sludge and slurry pumping. Vogelsang also manufactures specialized supply and disposal systems for rail (BioUnit, CleanUnit, VacUnit), bus (RoadPump), and marine (PierPump) infrastructure, as well as agricultural liquid manure spreading technology including DosiMat precision distributors and SyreN acidification systems.
