United Rentals, Inc. is the world's largest equipment rental company, founded in 1997 and headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut. Through its Fluid Solutions group, United Rentals provides engineered dewatering, pump rental, and water management services for municipal wastewater, construction, industrial, and mining applications. The pump fleet includes over 55 models spanning electric submersible pumps (2–10 inch, up to 5,500 GPM), diesel vacuum-assisted pumps (4–18 inch, up to 17,750 GPM), wellpoint piston and rotary pumps, air-operated double-diaphragm pumps, and hydraulic submersible pump heads. Sound-attenuated dBa Silencer models operate at approximately 68 dBa for noise-sensitive urban and residential settings. Supporting equipment includes thousands of miles of pipe and hose (2–36 inch diameter), auxiliary fuel tanks, containment berms, filter pots, and VFD panels.
