ULTRAAQUA
About
ULTRAAQUA A/S is a Danish water treatment equipment manufacturer headquartered in Aalborg that has shipped over 10,000 UV and ozone systems to more than 120 countries, collectively treating over 1,000,000 cubic meters of water per hour. Founded in 1996 by environmental scientists Ole Gronborg and Jens Skjolstrup, the company maintains a full-scale laboratory and outdoor testing facility in Aalborg and a North American office in Texas. The product portfolio spans 24 systems across six categories: closed-vessel UV (MONORAY, SSV Drinking Water, CROSSFLOW, ULTRABARRIER, Low Flowrate PP), open-channel UV (Inclined 1000, Vertical, Horizontal 700, PP), medium-pressure UV (ULTRATRON, MULTIRAY for recreational water), advanced oxidation (ULTRATRON AOP, ULTRATOX for TOC reduction), ozone generation (ULTRAQUBE in GFRP and SS configurations from 1-5 kg/h up to 20 kg/h capacity), and recreational water UV (POOLRAY, ULTRABLUE, MULTIRAY). The company pioneered the first inclined UV channel in 2001 and introduced polypropylene UV reactors in 2003, claiming status as the only UV manufacturer offering PP systems. A 2018 patent-pending Swirlflow technology enhances UV dose delivery. Construction materials include stainless steel, polypropylene, PEHD, and GFRP for corrosive environments. Markets span aquaculture (RAS, shrimp, intake water, wellboat), municipal water (drinking, wastewater, groundwater, CSO), industrial fluids (food and beverage, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, oil and gas), recreational water, and zoo and aquarium applications.
