TriOS Mess- und Datentechnik GmbH
About
TriOS Mess- und Datentechnik GmbH, founded in 1998 as a University of Oldenburg spin-off and headquartered in Rastede, Germany, develops and manufactures high-precision optical and electrochemical sensors for water quality monitoring. With more than 70 employees and over 25 years of experience, TriOS produces all sensor technology in-house across five measurement disciplines: photometry, fluorometry, radiometry, nephelometry, and electrochemistry. The company's flagship RAMSES radiometer was the first commercially available spectrally resolving light measurement device for marine research. The OPUS photometer series provides continuous spectrophotometric measurement of nitrate, nitrite, and organic carbon compounds in water. Dedicated fluorometers detect algal activity and dissolved organic substances, while the eCHEM sensor line covers pH, redox, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen. For drinking water applications, the TW Master Series combines sensors with purpose-built controllers for regulatory compliance monitoring. The twturb nephelometric sensor delivers continuous turbidity measurement, and oil-in-water sensors detect hydrocarbon contamination. SEPIA Sensors operates as a separate brand. Complete monitoring stations integrate multiple sensor types with controllers for turnkey deployment. TriOS serves municipal drinking water, wastewater treatment, environmental surface water surveillance, marine research, aquaculture, industrial process monitoring, and exhaust gas scrubber applications.
