Trillium Flow Technologies
About
Trillium Flow Technologies, established in 2019 through First Reserve's acquisition of the Weir Flow Control division, engineers mission-critical pumps, valves, actuators, and steam turbines for power generation, oil and gas, water and wastewater, desalination, and heavy industry. The company assembles eighteen legacy brands under one umbrella — Floway vertical turbines, Roto-Jet sealless pumps, WEMCO vortex pumps, Hopkinsons gate and globe valves, Blakeborough control valves, Sarasin-RSBD pressure relief valves, and Allen Steam Turbines among them — representing over a century of combined engineering heritage. The pump portfolio covers between-bearing, overhung, high-pressure, self-priming, solids-handling, and vertical turbine configurations. On the valve side, Trillium supplies gate, globe, ball, butterfly, check, choke, control, and pressure relief valves alongside desuperheaters and turbine bypass systems. The company also produces nuclear-qualified actuators and steam turbines rated up to 150 MW. Trillium operates manufacturing and service centers across Canada, China, France, Italy, South Korea, the UK, and the US, with aftermarket support through STAR Service Centers and Coulter Valve Service providing lifecycle engineering, commissioning, and condition monitoring.
Key Products
Centrifugal pumps designed for high-flow applications in power, water, and industrial process systems where reliability between bearing supports is critical.
Pumps engineered for high-pressure discharge applications including boiler feed, reverse osmosis, and desalination feed water service.
Compact centrifugal pumps with impeller mounted on an overhung shaft, suitable for general water and industrial fluid transfer.
Pumps that automatically reprime without external priming assistance, ideal for wastewater and process applications where suction lift is required.
Non-clog pumps designed to pass solids-laden wastewater and sludge without obstruction in municipal and industrial treatment plants.
Vertically oriented turbine pumps used for deep well, cooling tower, and intake applications in water and power plants.
Isolation valves with a sliding gate for full-bore shutoff in pipelines carrying water, steam, and process fluids.
Linear motion valves used for throttling and flow regulation in high-pressure and high-temperature piping systems.
Quarter-turn isolation valves providing tight shutoff for oil and gas, power, and water treatment applications.
Compact quarter-turn valves for large-diameter isolation and throttling in water treatment, HVAC, and industrial systems.
One-way valves that prevent reverse flow in piping systems, protecting pumps and equipment from backflow damage.
Modulating valves that regulate flow, pressure, or temperature in response to automated control signals in process plants.
Safety valves that automatically open at set pressure to protect vessels and piping from overpressure conditions in power and industrial plants.
Heavy-duty valves designed for severe service pressure drop in oil and gas production and wellhead applications.
Equipment that reduces steam temperature by injecting water and bypasses steam around turbines during startup and load changes.
Electric and pneumatic valve actuators providing automated valve operation, including nuclear-safety-grade units for power plant applications.
Single and multi-stage steam turbines up to 150 MW for mechanical drive and power generation in industrial and utility plants.
Smart condition monitoring products that provide real-time equipment health data for predictive maintenance of pumps and valves.
