Paul Schmidt in Lennestadt-Saalhausen. The company employs approximately 800 people worldwide, generates around €200 million in annual revenue, and holds over 450 active patents. TRACTO's product portfolio covers the full spectrum of NODIG (trenchless) methods for water, sewer, gas, electricity, fiber optic, district heating, and e-mobility infrastructure. The GRUNDOMAT soil displacement hammer, introduced in 1970, remains the foundational product for house-connection installations and short undercrossings. The GRUNDOBURST static pipe bursting system renews damaged pipes from ND 50 to ND 1,200 using pulling rigs that also support relining and pipe-in-pipe methods. The GRUNDODRILL horizontal directional drilling platform, now in its JCS and ACS generation with advanced automation and rock drilling capability, is available in power classes from 50 to 280 kN. The GRUNDORAM pipe rammer family includes twelve models for pipe installation and HDD assist and rescue operations. The GRUNDOCRACK system applies dynamic bursting force with winch assistance for renewing brittle sewer pipes, while the GRUNDOTIP hydraulic insertion unit pushes new pipes into defective hosts from ND 200 to ND 500 without soil displacement. The GRUNDOPIT mini bore rig handles compact installations in confined spaces, and the GRUNDOBORE auger boring system installs casings under obstacles using rotating cutter heads. Supporting accessories include QuickLock threadless snap-coupling bursting rods for faster GRUNDOBURST assembly and the GRUNDOLOG pulling force measurement system for real-time tensile monitoring during pipe replacement.
