Thöni Sustainable Solutions GmbH, part of the Thöni Group based in Telfs, Tyrol, Austria, is a family-owned engineering firm with over 40 years of experience delivering more than 170 anaerobic digestion plants across 20 countries. Holding ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, Thöni designs, manufactures, and constructs turnkey biogas and digestate processing systems organized around three core digester platforms. The TTV continuous high-solids anaerobic digestion system (cHSAD) processes organic waste with high impurity content using a patented slow-rotating paddle agitator in a plug-flow digester, available in concrete (up to TTV1800) or steel (up to TTV2250) configurations. The TNV high-solids wet digestion system handles semi-dry feedstocks with lower impurity levels, also using a patented paddle agitator to prevent sedimentation and floating layers while maintaining ideal biological conditions. The TGV digestate processing system converts digestate into high-quality compost. Thöni's equipment line extends to the TSP350-Twin and TSP350-C screw presses for solid-liquid separation, prefabricated tank systems in concrete or steel, stainless steel inner-wall heating systems, double-membrane gas roofs with integrated desulfurization, and automated substrate feeding and pump technology for flexible routing of solid and liquid streams between tanks. The Thöni Care after-sales program provides biological monitoring, optimization management, spare and wear parts supply, and Smart Service Center remote oversight. Recent reference projects include the Aarau plant in Switzerland (TTV1800, 27,000 tonnes per year) and the Melton plant in the UK (2× TTV2250, 57,200 tonnes per year).
