Thetis Environmental specializes in ultrafiltration membrane technology for high-strength and high-solids wastewater treatment. The company's leadership brings over 30 years of UF membrane manufacturing experience from the GE PermaFlow program, and their flagship PermaFlux crossflow UF membrane module was engineered from the ground up as its next-generation successor. PermaFlux is positioned as the most energy-efficient crossflow UF membrane technology available, requiring 75 to 90 percent less energy than competing high-solids crossflow membrane systems. It operates at low pressure and crossflow velocity, reducing pump sizing requirements and preventing clogging with solids. Thetis holds patents covering a closed-loop operating protocol, proprietary membrane chemistry, and a redesigned module architecture. On the performance side, PermaFlux concentrates anaerobic digestate beyond 50,000 mg/L suspended solids, thickens lime softening streams beyond 180,000 mg/L, and concentrates emulsified oils from 50,000 to 800,000 mg/L. Application areas include Anaerobic Membrane Bioreactor (AnMBR) systems for difficult-to-treat digestate, conventional MBR configurations, direct filtration, lime softening, food and beverage processing, mining and metal separation, automotive manufacturing, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and chemical production, and agriculture. Both in-house and on-site piloting are available with multiple configuration options.
