Straub Couplings, based in National City, California, manufactures high-performance pipe couplings that join plain-end pipes without welding, flanging, threading, or grooving. The product line includes the Grip Coupling, a self-anchoring design that resists axial force while remaining detachable and reusable; the METAL-GRIP with ultimate pull-out resistance for restrained joints; and the FLEX and OPEN-FLEX series in sizes 1 through 4, with the OPEN-FLEX wrap-around design enabling installation without pipe disconnection for repair applications. Installation requires only a torque wrench, eliminating the need for special tools or pipe-end preparation. The couplings accommodate pipe misalignment and vibration while providing a seal.
