Spiral Water Technologies, based in Middlesex, New Jersey, develops and manufactures patented automatic self-cleaning filtration systems designed for high-solids liquid separation that conventional backwash filters cannot handle. Their technology achieves single-pass filtration with up to 99 percent water recovery, processing total suspended solids up to 15,000 mg/L—roughly 50 times higher than traditional backwash filtration—across a range of 15 to 1,500 microns. The product lineup includes the Model 850 solids concentrating automatic filter, the Series 1000 liquid/solid separator, High Solids Water Recovery (HSWR) systems for streams exceeding 30,000 ppm TSS, and a Pre-Reverse Osmosis system combining their filter with Veolia Z.Plex cartridge filters. Spiral Water positions its technology as a lower-cost, smaller-footprint alternative to both bag and cartridge filters and centrifuges or filter presses.
