Solinst Canada Ltd.
About
Solinst Canada Ltd. is a Georgetown, Ontario manufacturer of groundwater and surface water monitoring instruments, founded in 1975 and family-owned since 1980. The company designs and manufactures all products in-house at its 35,000 sq ft facility on Todd Rd., including design, development, CNC machining, and production. Solinst's instrument portfolio is anchored by the Levelogger series of water level dataloggers (Model 3001), which in 1996 introduced the industry's first combined absolute pressure sensor and datalogger unit and now offers both absolute and vented configurations with barometric compensation and telemetry integration. Manual measurement is served by the 101 P7 Water Level Meter, 102 Water Level Meter, and 122 Interface Meter for product/water interface detection. Groundwater sampling tools include the Model 410 Peristaltic Pump for low-flow and high-flow purging and the Model 615 Drive-Point Piezometer with a multilevel variant monitoring up to six discrete zones. The Waterloo Emitter provides controlled-release amendment delivery for enhanced bioremediation. Following two strategic acquisitions, Solinst expanded its portfolio with the Solinst Flute (formerly FLUTe, acquired 2024) for borehole profiling and contaminant detection, and Solinst Eureka (formerly Eureka Water Probes, acquired 2025, Model 5001) multiparameter water quality sondes measuring temperature, pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, PAR, total dissolved gas, and fluorometers. Affiliated entity Spohr Messtechnik GmbH in Frankfurt am Main, Germany has held ISO 9001 certification since 1996. Markets include environmental site investigation, contaminant plume monitoring, mining tailings, landfill leachate, agriculture, coastal vulnerability assessment, and geothermal evaluation, supported in 15+ languages worldwide.
