Sodimate is a French engineering and manufacturing company founded in 1978 near Paris, now headquartered in Cormeilles-en-Parisis, with a German subsidiary (Sodimate Deutschland GmbH) in Rodgau. The company calls itself Europe's number one for bulk material handling and has installed approximately 9,000 systems worldwide, including over 500 PAC (powdered activated carbon) dosing installations, with the capacity to handle over 250 different bulk materials. Sodimate's technology traces its roots to Andre Taupin's 1959 patent for the flexible mechanical conveyor. The product portfolio centers on dry chemical handling: the ZDM 400 and ZDM 800 silo discharge and dosing units employ flexible screw extraction with one to four dosing screws; the ZFP 400/800 handles sack dumping and buffer weighing; and the Kompakt-Dosierer III provides compact dosing for small-volume applications. Conveying options include DMR inclined screw conveyors and full pneumatic conveying systems. For lime handling, Sodimate builds Kalkloschanlagen (lime slaking plants) with PEHD dilution vessels, Ansatzbehalter (mixing tanks) for lime milk preparation, and pump stations equipped with peristaltic hose pumps. For PAC applications, the Einspul-Vortex device produces homogeneous PAC slurry, while the Injektor ID injects dry powders into mixing vessels. Sludge handling is served by the CS vertical sludge conveying screw and the MBV double paddle shaft mixer for blending sewage sludge with lime. The company also offers the LV Brudenwascher vapor scrubber for wet separation on mixing tanks. Sodimate serves drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment (neutralization, precipitation, micropollutant elimination), flue gas cleaning, and industrial applications including cement and energy sectors.
