SMS-TORK, established in 1985 under the TORK brand in Turkey, is the country's first domestic manufacturer of industrial solenoid valves. In 2017, the company merged with VARNASAN, a valve industry firm founded in 1976, consolidating over four decades of combined expertise in fluid control. Operating from a 9,000-square-meter factory at IMES Organized Industrial Zone with an in-house R&D department, SMS-TORK has expanded to a new 6,000-square-meter production facility and exports to 87 countries across 30 industrial sectors. The company holds SIL3 certification for its pneumatic actuators in safety-critical applications, ATEX certification for explosion-hazardous environments, and API 6D certification for pipeline valves. Its solenoid valve catalog includes the S10 general-purpose series (1/8 inch through 2 inch, brass body, 0 to 16 bar), S20 steam series rated to 160 degrees C, S30 vacuum series, S40 fuel oil series to 100 bar, S50 compressor series, SS10 stainless steel series for corrosive media, SX10 ATEX explosion-proof series, S81 drain valves, S82 group valves, SL10 latching valves, S8510 pinch valves, S88 oxygen and hydrogen series, S11 water hammer valves, SP10 proportional valves, S91 cryogenic valves, and SW1010 IP68 waterproof valves. Beyond solenoid valves, SMS-TORK manufactures rack-and-pinion and scotch-yoke pneumatic actuators, electric actuators in standard and multiturn configurations, pulse valves for dust collection, and actuated ball, butterfly, globe, pinch, check, and knife gate valves.
