Shand & Jurs, a division of L&J Technologies, has manufactured industrial tank equipment since 1922 from its Hillside, Illinois facility. Operating alongside sister brand L&J Engineering, Shand & Jurs specializes in atmospheric tank safety and emissions control hardware. Their product range spans flame, deflagration, and detonation arresters; conservation vents in pressure, vacuum, combination, and free-vent configurations including the Model 94241 free vent; the Model 94210 Emergency Vent and Manhole Cover; the Model 94645 Pilot Operated Relief Valve; the Model 96181 Water Drain Valve; and Models 95600, 95601, and 95602 Cable Winches for swing line assemblies. The company also supplies digester cover equipment and digester gas stream hardware, waste gas burners including candlestick and enclosed flare designs for low-BTU anaerobic digester gas, the Expanda-Seal proprietary sealing system, FRP vents and hatches, insulation jackets, internal safety valves, and the T-Series Touch Screen Control Panel with wireless integration. L&J Engineering contributes the evo 1610 Radar Level Gauge with OIML R85:2008 custody-transfer certification and the MCG 2000MAX transmitter for upgrading mechanical float-and-tape gauges. All products are manufactured domestically and the company holds ISO 9001:2015 certification from DQS Inc. In 2024, L Squared Capital and CogneSense made a growth investment in the firm.
