Hermann Sewerin GmbH, founded in 1908 and based in Gütersloh, Germany, is a fourth-generation family-owned manufacturer of gas detection and water leak detection instrumentation, now led by Managing Director Benjamin Sewerin. With approximately 300 employees, Sewerin produces acoustic and tracer gas leak detection systems for water utilities alongside multi-gas detectors, methane remote sensors, and process gas analyzers for the gas industry. The flagship AQUAPHON A 200 water combination device provides comprehensive leak detection support across pipe networks, while the AQUAPHON A 150 delivers precision acoustic pinpointing. Sewerin’s water product portfolio also includes ground microphones for surface-level listening, noise loggers for continuous acoustic monitoring, correlators for computational leak location, and the VARIOTEC 460 Tracergas system for gas-based leak detection. On the gas side, the EX-TEC PM 580 combines detection, warning, and measurement in a single instrument, the EX-TEC HS 680 serves as a universal gas measuring device, and the SR-LD 800 enables remote methane detection from distances up to 200 meters using laser-based infrared sensing. The Multitec 560 handles simultaneous multi-gas analysis for bio and process gas applications.
