Sensus, now operating under the Xylem brand following Xylem's acquisition, is a global water metering technology company with major operations in Ludwigshafen and Laatzen (Hannover), Germany. With roots spanning over 180 years of engineering, Sensus designs and manufactures precision static and mechanical water meters, smart metering infrastructure, and leak detection systems for utilities worldwide. Their residential meter portfolio includes the iPERL International, a magnetic-measurement smart water meter with wide dynamic range and low starting flow rates available in DN15 and DN20 sizes, and the 640C volumetric piston-type meter achieving R400 metrological ratios under MID 2014/32/EU compliance. For commercial and industrial applications, the Cordonel C&I meter measures flow, temperature, and pressure through a unique flow tube design, while the WP-Dynamic turbine meter series covers DN40 through DN400 with flow capacities up to 2,000 m³/h. Sensus also provides the ResidiaJet acoustic leak detection system and the FlexNet point-to-multipoint communication network operating on 433 MHz and 868 MHz license-free bands, enabling near-real-time AMI data collection. All meters carry IP68 hermetically sealed registers and comply with KTW/DVGW, ACS, WRAS, and KIWA drinking water certifications.
