About

Senix, acquired by BinMaster Sensors and Technologies LLC in 2024, has manufactured ultrasonic level and distance sensors for over 35 years from its operations in Hinesburg, Vermont. Now part of the BinMaster family headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska, Senix produces the ToughSonic family of non-contact ultrasonic sensors designed for liquid level monitoring, distance measurement, and object detection in demanding environments. The ToughSonic 100 series offers general-purpose sensors in NPT-threaded stainless steel housings with ranges from 3 to 50 feet, while the ToughSonic 200 series provides chemical-resistant models featuring PVDF and stainless steel construction with RS-485 communication in 14 to 35 foot ranges. All ToughSonic sensors carry IP68 ratings for submersion and extreme conditions. Senix also supplies 80 GHz compact radar sensors for non-contact measurement where ultrasonic technology faces interference. Key applications span tank level monitoring for water and wastewater utilities, irrigation and sprayer automation in agriculture, marine vessel distancing and cargo monitoring, river and flood level tracking for environmental monitoring, conveyor dimensioning in material handling, and industrial process control including pump activation and overfill prevention. Each sensor supports multiple output protocols for seamless IoT integration and remote monitoring. As part of the BinMaster family alongside BinTrac weighing systems and MicroZone agricultural controls, Senix products integrate with broader monitoring networks.
