REID Lifting designs and manufactures portable aluminium gantry and davit lifting systems for confined space entry, materials handling, and maintenance access, with particular focus on water and wastewater plant operations. Operating from the US with additional offices in the UK, Australia, Germany, and France, REID produces gantry systems including the Porta Gantry Rapide (one-piece design weighing 81 to 151 lb with 2,200 lb material lifting capacity), the multi-piece Porta Gantry with wind-up jack legs for personnel lifting and fall protection, and the Porta Gantry Load Bearing Pneumatic Castor model for specialized mobility requirements. The davit range encompasses the T Davit series in four configurations (TDDW dual-winched, TDW single-winched, TDVW variable winch, TDT geared trolley), the one-piece Porta Davit Quantum weighing just 18 kg in stropped form and rated for 600 kg materials or 300 kg personnel, and the PORTX Davit modular system. Supporting equipment comprises portable bases (Porta Base H for fixed-position deployment, Porta Base Counterbalance for locations without fixed sockets, and PORTX Barrel Mount), winches (Plus Winch and PORTX Winch), and the PORTX Rescue SRL self-retracting lifeline. All products are constructed from aluminium for corrosion resistance and a high strength-to-weight ratio, enabling rapid assembly without heavy equipment. REID offers both standard stock items and custom-engineered lifting systems with capacities up to 11,000 lb, serving water and wastewater, confined space, working at height, automotive, rail, and clean energy sectors.
