PureBlue Water
About
PureBlue Water, founded in 2008 and based in Kapellebrug, Netherlands, designs and manufactures compact decentralized wastewater treatment systems with over 200 projects delivered across eight countries. Every product is engineered, built, and serviced in-house, reflecting a philosophy of treating wastewater at the source for nature recovery and water reuse. The company's flagship NanoPack++ uses proprietary back-washable membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology — the only bidirectional-flow MBR on the market — enabling compact design with high operational fluxes and minimal buffer tank requirements. The InnoPack++ series adapts MBR treatment for maritime and hospitality applications, while the MicroPack++ Generation combines MBBR biological treatment, DAF (MicroFlux++) sludge separation, and Advanced Oxidation Process (HydroForce++) in a single modular unit. PureBlue's MBBR technology uniquely uses the reactor volume as a buffer tank and achieves simultaneous carbon and nitrogen removal through optimized aeration control — a process conventionally requiring two stages. For micropollutant removal, the HydrOzone++ system employs ozonation (AOP) to eliminate pharmaceutical residues, while the SonoForce targets agricultural irrigation water treatment. All installations include PureControl++, a cloud-based remote monitoring platform providing real-time performance dashboards, predictive maintenance alerts, and ERP integration. PureBlue targets 90% CO2 reduction across its systems and focuses on green cities, marine, hospital, and industrial applications.
