Pulsar Measurement

Pulsar Measurement, established in 1986 and registered in England and Wales, designs and manufactures non-contact measurement instruments for water, wastewater, and industrial process applications, with offices in the UK, USA, Canada, and Malaysia. The company maintains in-house PCB manufacturing at its UK facility and offers over 40 products spanning radar level sensing, ultrasonic level and flow measurement, open channel flow monitoring, area-velocity flow measurement, and sludge blanket detection. Key product lines include the dBR radar transducers (dBR8 and dBR16, offering ±2 mm accuracy with FMCW technology and DATEM echo processing), the Ultra 4 and Ultra 5 multi-functional controllers compatible with both ultrasonic and radar transducers, the PULSAR REFLECT two-wire radar level sensor, and the FlowCERT non-contacting area-velocity flow monitor. Portable instruments include the PDFM 6.1 portable Doppler flow meter, the PTFM 6.1 portable transit-time flow meter, and the Stingray 2.0 portable level-velocity logger. Pump station controllers include the Quantum and Zenith series. All transducers—ultrasonic and radar—are cross-compatible with all Pulsar controllers, and ATEX Zone 0, FM/CSA Class 1 Div 1/2 certified models are available for hazardous area installations. The proprietary DATEM echo processing algorithm identifies and tracks the true level echo in challenging acoustic environments.
