PPG Protective & Marine Coatings, a division of PPG Industries, manufactures advanced coating systems for infrastructure, marine, and industrial applications worldwide. The company's dedicated water and wastewater product portfolio spans three major areas. The PPG RAVEN line addresses wastewater concrete and steel structures with products like RAVEN 405 (100% solids epoxy for corrosion protection and structural enhancement at 30-250 mils DFT, tensile strength exceeding 9,000 psi), RAVEN 155/171FS/175 (penetrating epoxy primer/sealers for damp concrete), RAVEN 410 HCR (chemical-resistant novolac epoxy), RAVEN 581 (polyurethane manhole chimney seal), and RAVEN 705CA/755/760 (cementitious repair mortars and resurfacing materials). For potable water contact, PPG offers AQUATAPOXY A-6 and A-61 (100% solids epoxy tank linings with NSF/ANSI 61 certification) and AQUATAFLEX 505/506 (hybrid epoxy-polyurethane-polyurea systems; 506 is USDA BioPreferred certified). Chemical-resistant tank linings include the PHENGUARD novolac phenolic epoxy series (930, 935, 940, 965, 985), NOVAGUARD vinyl ester and novolac epoxy systems, SIGMAGUARD CSF 585 solvent-free epoxy, SIGMALINE 523 solvent-free epoxy, and SIGMAGUARD 720 reinforced epoxy. Fire protection products include the STEELGUARD series (651, 652, 751) of thin-film intumescent coatings providing up to 150 minutes of cellulosic fire protection for structural steel.
