Pittsburg Tank and Tower Group (PTTG) is a 100 percent employee-owned company founded in 1919 and headquartered in Henderson, Kentucky, with 326 employee-owners, 347 collective years of management experience, and over 50,000 completed projects worldwide. The company operates through three divisions providing design, fabrication, erection, inspection, repair, maintenance, and dismantling services for tanks, towers, and steel structures. The Tanks division delivers elevated water storage tanks, fire protection water storage tanks, thermal energy storage tanks, welded carbon steel tanks, and field-erected storage tanks, supported by a full range of services including engineering design, foundation construction, painting, insulation and re-insulation, inspection, elevation changes, dismantling, and polyurea lining. The Allstate Tower division, acquired as part of PTTG, provides design-build communication towers, tower steel and accessories, installations, maintenance, modifications, dismantles, and inspection services for broadcast and telecommunications applications. The Support Systems division engineers and fabricates steel catwalks, steel support towers, superstructures, and custom steel structures for agricultural, commercial, and industrial material handling applications. PTTG holds OSHA SHARP certification and maintains a drug-free workplace designation. The company's global footprint includes overseas project capabilities across all three divisions. The employee-ownership structure was established in 2021 when the Johnston family created an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, transitioning the century-old family business to its workforce.
