PHOENIX Process Equipment Co.
About
PHOENIX Process Equipment Co., founded in 1984 and headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, designs and manufactures dewatering, thickening, classification, and washing equipment for mining, aggregate, industrial, and municipal water and wastewater applications. The HiFlo high-rate thickener clarifies wash plant effluent while thickening slurry, and the AltaFlo ultra high-rate thickener combines thickening, clarification, flocculation, and sludge removal in a single tank. Dewatering products include belt filter presses that reduce pre-thickened slurry to conveyable dry cake, filter presses producing high-solids filter cake from concentrate and tailings, and bucket wheels that capture, de-slime, and dewater granular tailings from dredging. Classification equipment includes the HYDROSORT classifier, which separates deleterious material and sorts sand by particle size or density. Washing systems encompass attrition cell scrubbers for de-agglomerating and removing surface contaminants, logwashers for clay removal from aggregate feedstock, and sand washing modules for controlled particle size distribution recovery. The auto/CHEM polymer mixing and delivery system (Model D) properly mixes and delivers flocculants and coagulants for thickening and dewatering processes. PHOENIX also markets its Aquacell brand for water recycling applications.
