ORELL Tec AG
About
ORELL Tec AG, established in 1969 in Duedingen, Switzerland, operates under ISO 9001:2015 certification and engineers products and systems for storing, cooling, and measuring liquids. The company maintains two principal divisions: water hammer protection and flow measurement technology. In surge protection, ORELL manufactures bladder-type surge vessels for potable water (DDV/DDH series, up to 20 cubic meters, rated at 16, 25, or 40 bar, with patented forced-flow design ensuring complete water exchange for hygiene compliance and SVGW/DVGW approval) and bladder-free level-controlled vessels for raw wastewater (DDA OB series, rated at 10 or 16 bar), alongside pressure and expansion vessels, pulsation dampers, non-slam check valves, and filling and venting valves for both drinking water and sewage applications. The flow measurement division supplies electromagnetic flow meters, precision turbine and oval gear meters, inline and clamp-on ultrasonic flow and energy meters, portable ultrasonic meters, and Doppler ultrasonic instruments for contaminated media. ORELL also provides engineering services including computational water hammer analysis with flow simulation software, FEM design and structural optimization, preventive maintenance contracts, installation and commissioning, and calibration and equipment rental. Beyond water, the company serves hydrogen, cooling, and hydraulic applications across agriculture, automotive, energy, food and beverage, oil and gas, and pharmaceutical industries.
Key Products
Cylindrical steel or stainless steel vessels with internal rubber bladders and patented forced-flow design for potable water compliance. Available up to 20 m3, rated 16/25/40 bar, with SVGW/DVGW approval. Vertical and horizontal configurations.
Bladder-free, level-controlled surge vessels in coated steel or stainless steel designed for raw sewage service where internal bladders would foul. Available up to 20 m3, rated 10/16 bar.
Pressurization and thermal expansion management vessels for water systems.
Combined surge and pulsation attenuation for pump stations and piping systems.
Check valves designed to close without slam, preventing secondary surge events in piping systems.
