OBIC LLC, headquartered in Bryan, Ohio, manufactures spray-applied polyurea coating and structural rehabilitation systems for water and wastewater infrastructure. The company name derives from the Latin root for "barrier." Their product line addresses the full spectrum of infrastructure rehabilitation needs: OBIC 1000 pure polyurea for wastewater environments (3,351 psi tensile strength, 395% elongation, 48D hardness, 11–14 second gel time, 60-minute return to service), OBIC 1100PW for potable water (NSF/ANSI 61 certified, 3,850 psi tensile strength, 425% elongation, USDA food and beverage compliant), OBIC 1200 semi-structural polyurea for culvert and pipeline rehabilitation (Shore 70D hardness, 100,000 psi flex modulus), and OBIC 5000 structural lining (over 430,000 psi flex modulus, Shore 81D).
