Founded in 2001 and based in Merelbeke, Belgium, Novotec BV is an engineering firm that designs and builds custom sludge and wastewater treatment installations rather than offering standard catalog products. With over 20 years of experience, the company provides full lifecycle support from design and pilot testing through turnkey construction, installation, startup, and long-term service. Novotec's proprietary sludge dewatering line includes the Squeez-R, a low-speed dewatering screw in a self-cleaning filter housing producing 15–70% dry matter output with continuous 24/7 operation, and the Tumbl-R, which uses rotating oval discs over a stationary filter plate for self-cleaning dewatering of fiber-rich and oil-laden sludges. Both are available as stand-alone units or containerized plug-and-play systems, with a rental fleet of eight units including the Squeez-R G02 (40 ft container, rated 884 kg DS/h at 3% DS). For physical-chemical treatment, the NLS lamella separator comes in cross-flow (NLS-XF) and counter-flow (NLS-CF) configurations with optional scraper systems, while the flotation range spans six models from the static NFS oil separator to the high-capacity NFH dissolved air flotation unit. Pre-treatment offerings include the NCS curved screen with zero energy consumption and the NSP sand separator with Archimedes screw discharge.
