Municipal Filtration Company
About
Municipal Filtration Company, LLC (MFC) specializes in fixed plate cloth media filtration systems for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, with a manufacturing base in the United States. Their core technology uses vertically oriented, permanently fixed cloth media plates that eliminate all internal submerged moving parts — no pumps, drive motors, chain gears, high-pressure spray bars, or backwash manifolds are required. Instead, the system relies on differential head pressure, compressed air, and simple pneumatic valves for filtration and backwash cycling. The MFC-P line delivers packaged, all-stainless-steel filter systems handling flows from 10 gpm up to 6.0 MGD. The MFC-C line provides modular filter components designed for installation into new or existing concrete tanks and basins. Complementary products include Fixed Weir Boxes for influent and effluent flow measurement, splitting, and equalization, plus custom stainless steel tanks for chemical pre-mixing applications. All MFC equipment is fabricated from 100 percent stainless steel, with custom units undergoing 3-D modeling and Finite Element Analysis before manufacturing. Target removal parameters include TSS, turbidity, and phosphorus from secondary process streams. MFC systems have been deployed on California Title 22 and Texas water reuse projects.
