Mixtec North America
About
Mixtec North America, Inc. is a Salt Lake City, Utah-based manufacturer of industrial mixers and impellers operating from a 30,000-square-foot facility at 454 West 600 North. The parent Mixtec brand was established in 1984 in Johannesburg, South Africa by Tim Clamp and Bill Baguely, both formerly of APV/Kestner Industries. WesTech Engineering initially held North American manufacturing and representation rights beginning in 1999, and in 2007 a group of employees and investors formed Mixtec North America as an independent entity. The company manufactures its own mixer bases, couplings, shafts, hubs, and impellers in-house while performing quality control on sourced gearboxes, motors, and couplings. Mixtec offers six mixer configurations: top-entry open tank, top-entry closed tank, inline flash and static, side-entry, portable and direct drive, and specialty mixers. The impeller portfolio spans 18 models across three flow categories: axial flow impellers (AS700, HA700, HA800, HA801, HA710, HA715, HA720, HA724, HA725, HA736, HA757) for high-flow low-shear applications, radial flow impellers (HA790 through HA794) for high-shear low-flow mixing, and multi-flow impellers (HS700, Swing Wing, Swing Wing PBT, HA745) for combined axial-radial behavior. Additional services include CFD modeling, parts and retrofit components for any mixer brand, and field maintenance support. Mixtec has delivered over 4,000 installations across eight countries.
