MFG Construction & Water Products Co
About
Molded Fiber Glass Construction and Water Products (MFG CWP), an employee-owned company under the Molded Fiber Glass Companies umbrella with over 75 years of fiberglass molding experience since 1948, operates the largest full-service network of composite molding factories in North America. The Water Products division, based in Union City, Pennsylvania, manufactures a comprehensive line of fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) components engineered for the corrosive environments found in water and wastewater treatment plants. Core products include fiberglass troughs and weir pans for effluent collection, weir plates and scum baffles for flow distribution control, density current baffles that prevent short-circuiting in clarifiers, launder covers providing odor containment and UV protection, baffle walls for basin flow partitioning, Parshall flumes for open-channel flow measurement, and slide gates with guide frames for flow control. MFG CWP also produces pultruded FRP handrail systems, floor grating, and structural shapes for walkways and platforms, plus prefabricated fiberglass building enclosures for equipment protection and odor containment. The Construction Products division in Independence, Kansas, supplies one-piece fiberglass column forms, pile jackets for marine pile protection, waffle slab forms, and beam and slab forms. All water products carry NSF certification for potable water contact, and the company is affiliated with ACMA, DBIA, and WEF.
Key Products
FRP launder troughs and weir pans that collect and distribute clarified effluent in sedimentation tanks and treatment basins, resistant to corrosion.
Corrosion-resistant weir plates and scum baffle plates that control flow distribution and scum retention in clarifiers and treatment tanks.
Baffles installed in clarifiers to redirect density-driven currents and improve settling efficiency by preventing short-circuiting.
Cover systems for launder channels that provide odor control, UV protection, and walk-on access in water treatment facilities.
FRP structural components including handrail systems, floor grating, and custom profiles for walkways, platforms, and access systems in corrosive environments.
Large FRP partition walls installed in treatment basins to create flow compartments and improve hydraulic performance.
Prefabricated FRP enclosures and covers that house treatment equipment, provide odor containment, and protect infrastructure from weather.
FRP flow measurement devices that use a constricted channel geometry to accurately measure water flow rates in open channels.
FRP slide gates and guide frames for flow control in water and wastewater treatment channels and tanks.
Bespoke FRP components tailored to plant-specific requirements for water and wastewater treatment applications.
Protective FRP encasements for structural piles that prevent corrosion and deterioration in marine and waterfront environments.
One-piece FRP molds used to form round concrete columns, outperforming steel, wood, and cardboard alternatives for reusability and finish quality.
