Methane Systems
About
Clean Methane Systems (CMS), founded in 2014 and based in Tualatin, Oregon, designs and supplies integrated biogas conditioning systems that convert waste gas streams into renewable energy resources. The company's flagship product, the IonPack, is a comprehensive gas conditioning and pretreatment platform built around SULKAN technology, which is licensed from Clairion (Israel). SULKAN employs a proprietary catalytic liquid platform based on ionic liquids and single-stage wet scrubbing to simultaneously remove hydrogen sulfide (H2S), siloxanes, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from biogas streams. CMS has deployed over 150 installations globally, serving municipal wastewater treatment plants, agricultural anaerobic digesters, and industrial biogas facilities. The company positions its technology as a simpler alternative to multi-stage biogas cleaning trains, consolidating contaminant removal into a single scrubbing stage. CMS provides turnkey system integration including design, equipment supply, and ongoing operational support for biogas upgrading projects.
