Metalska industrija Varazdin d.d.
About
Metalska industrija Varaždin d.d. (MIV d.d.) is a Croatian valve and fitting manufacturer founded in 1939 and headquartered in Varaždin. With approximately 400 employees, the company covers the entire production chain at a single location—from design and prototyping through casting, machining, welding, surface protection, and final assembly and testing—giving it uncommon vertical integration among European manufacturers. MIV produces a full range of valves and fittings in ductile cast iron and welded steel, including butterfly valves, sluice gates and penstocks (notably the elliptical V2-05NT model per EN 1171, DN50–DN500, PN10–PN16), swing check valves (V2-09 series, DN200–DN1600), flap valves, air valves, fire hydrants, flange adapters, and dismantling joints. Through its Hawido line, the company supplies pressure reducing valves, pressure sustaining valves, flow limiting valves, float shut-off valves, and electro-controlled ON/OFF valves for automated water network management. MIV also offers jobbing castings and public-space infrastructure equipment. The company exports over 60% of production to more than 40 countries and holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and GSK certifications. Surface protection follows RAL 5015 at minimum 250 µm coating thickness.
