KROHNE Group
About
KROHNE is an independent family-owned process measurement instrumentation company founded in 1921 in Duisburg, Germany, where it remains headquartered. With 2024 total sales of 795.7 million euros and 4,253 employees across 16 production facilities in 11 countries, KROHNE serves over 100 countries through 44 own companies and joint ventures. The company pioneered the first industrial electromagnetic flowmeter in 1952, the first ultrasonic flowmeter in 1979, the first FMCW radar level transmitter in 1989, and the first straight-tube Coriolis mass flowmeter in 1994. For wastewater treatment, KROHNE provides the OPTISYS SLM 2100 optical sludge level measuring system, which uses near-infrared 180-degree transmission to track sludge blanket levels in clarifiers up to 10 meters deep with one percent level accuracy and 0.1 to 30 g/L concentration measurement, operating in profile, sludge blanket, and zone tracking modes. The TIDALFLUX 2300 electromagnetic flowmeter measures flow in partially filled gravity sewer pipes from DN200 to DN1600 with plus or minus one percent accuracy. The OPTISENS PH 8300 potentiometric pH sensor covers the full 0–14 pH range for wastewater, surface, and process water monitoring up to 80 degrees Celsius and 6.9 bar. The OPTIFLUX 2300 electromagnetic flowmeter handles custody transfer and advanced water and wastewater applications. Additional products include the OPTISENS TUR 2000 turbidity sensor, SMARTPAT PH 2390 digital pH sensor, OPTIWAVE radar level transmitters, and the SynEnergy supervisory software platform for SCADA integration.
