Krofta (Waterleau Group)
About
Krofta, part of the Waterleau Group, has manufactured Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) systems since 1947, with Dr. Milos Krofta pioneering the technology in 1972. The company operates US manufacturing for North American markets and Belgium manufacturing for the rest of world. Its flagship product, the Krofta Supracell DAF, delivers high-rate solids removal in a compact footprint and represents the most widely deployed unit in the lineup. The Krofta Multifloat DAF is an ultra-compact variant engineered for variable flow rates and load conditions. The Krofta Sandfloat combines flocculation, flotation, and filtration in a single unit, targeting drinking water production and industrial process water treatment. The Krofta Spray Filter handles fiber separation and recovery. Key proprietary technologies include the Air Dissolving Tube for efficient gas dissolution with low energy consumption, the Sludge Blanket Controller for automated float level management, the Krofta Cockpit digital control platform for process automation, and pH adjustment systems. Kroftacare chemicals round out the after-sales offering. All DAF units are available for short-term rental for emergency response, planned maintenance, and temporary capacity needs. Primary markets include pulp and paper, dairy, meat and protein processing, seed oil, soft drinks and juices, oil and gas, and municipal water infrastructure.
