Ixom Watercare, headquartered in Dickinson, North Dakota, develops and manufactures specialized water quality improvement equipment for municipal drinking water, wastewater treatment, and source water management. The company operates across four sectors: water treatment and distribution, wastewater collections and treatment, lakes and source water, and stormwater and reuse. Their flagship MIEX magnetic ion exchange system removes dissolved organic carbon, color, sulfate, bromide, and PFAS compounds including PFOS and PFOA as a pre-treatment step before conventional treatment, with over 70 installations across 12 countries since its first large-scale deployment in Australia in 2002. The GridBee product line provides in-tank mixing and THM removal for water storage facilities—the GS series submersible mixers manage disinfectant residuals and prevent ice formation in potable tanks, the SN series uses spray aeration for THM and VOC reduction, and the AP series offers air-powered mixing for lift station wet wells. SolarBee solar-powered floating circulators address cyanobacteria blooms, taste and odor issues, and wastewater lagoon aeration. Ixom also produces ResidualHQ automated disinfectant control systems, AerationPlus circulators (models 1800 and 2800), and HiveLinx remote monitoring platform, along with chemical storage and dosing systems including the Bullet CDU and Cube platforms.
