Idromeccanica Bertolini S.p.A., founded in 1918 by Ugo Bertolini in the Rubiera area of Reggio Emilia, Italy, has been designing and manufacturing pumps for over a century. The company began with double-acting piston pumps for agricultural weed treatment in wheat fields and vineyards — applications deeply rooted in the Reggio Emilia territory — and has since expanded into diaphragm-plunger, piston, and industrial pump technology. Bertolini's agricultural line includes the IDB 2600 brass five-diaphragm-plunger pump delivering 255 l/min at 50 Bar and the Poly 550 three-diaphragm-plunger pump delivering 54 l/min at 15 Bar, both designed for crop spraying and weed treatment. The cleaning division features RD-HW Series hot-water piston pumps engineered for extreme-temperature professional cleaning applications. Heavy-duty and DIY lines round out the pump range. Beyond pumps, Bertolini manufactures pressure regulators for agricultural and industrial use, suction filters with T6 and T7 bayonet connections, and the SBSC control platform integrating HD 10-inch touchscreen displays with GPS-guided precision farming capabilities developed in partnership with Altek GmbH. The SBSC system manages both hydraulic and water sections for variable-rate application. Bertolini's vertical integration — from design through manufacturing and testing — enables small-series custom production. The company serves agricultural, industrial, professional cleaning, and consumer markets worldwide.
