Operating under its American Engineered Carbon (AEC) brand, Hyera differentiates itself from conventional suppliers by using almond shells, walnut shells, hazelnut shells, and sustainable forestry wood residues as feedstock—entirely avoiding coal and coconut shell inputs—resulting in a carbon-negative production process. The company's GAC features larger particle sizes suited for continuous-flow fixed-bed filtration systems, offering high porosity, consistent particle distribution, and extended service life with reusability benefits. Its PAC, with particle sizes below 0.18mm, delivers rapid adsorption kinetics for batch treatment, emergency dosing, odor control, and polishing applications. Hyera's activated carbon products target three primary applications: municipal drinking water treatment for removing organic compounds and chlorine, wastewater treatment for adsorbing pollutants and industrial by-products to meet regulatory compliance, and PFAS adsorption and remediation for removing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances from contaminated water and soil. All products are manufactured domestically under strict quality controls, tested against iodine number, ash content, and pore size distribution standards, and verified compliant with NSF, AWWA, and ASTM benchmarks through internal and third-party testing.
