Hydranautics
About
Hydranautics, part of the Nitto Group since 1987, has operated out of Oceanside, California since its founding in 1963 and entered the reverse osmosis membrane field in 1970, becoming the first membrane manufacturer to earn ISO 9001 certification. The company manufactures at facilities in Oceanside and Japan's Shiga Region, with global sales offices across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Its membrane portfolio spans four technology categories: reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration, and microfiltration. The RO line includes the SWC series for seawater desalination, the CPA series for high-purity brackish water applications in pharmaceutical and power generation, the ESPA series engineered for energy-efficient operation, and the LFC series featuring LD Technology that combines a neutrally charged surface with hydrophilicity to resist organic and colloidal fouling. The PRO series addresses demanding niche applications including zero-liquid-discharge, mining, and oil and gas. On the NF side, the ESNA series delivers ultra-low-pressure softening and selective ion removal, while HYDRACoRe targets color removal with minimal salt rejection. UF and MF products include the HYDRAcap MAX hollow fiber module and the HYDRAsub submerged membrane for MBR applications. Hydranautics also provides IMSDesign Cloud projection software for system design and the RODataXL normalization program, along with engineering services, field support, and element autopsy capabilities. Markets served include municipal drinking water, seawater desalination, water reuse, semiconductor fabrication, food and dairy processing, and agricultural irrigation.
