Hydra-Stop, a division of Pentair founded in 1981 and based in Burr Ridge, Illinois, manufactures insertion valves and line stop fittings for municipal water infrastructure maintenance. The company's Insta-Valve product line enables permanent valve installation on existing in-service water mains under pressure, eliminating the need for system-wide shutdowns. The Insta-Valve 250 covers 4-inch through 12-inch mains and functions as a resilient-seated gate valve installed through a simple line tap without reaming. The Insta-Valve Plus 250 extends the range to 14-inch and 16-inch diameters, while the Insta-Valve 20-24 addresses 20-inch and 24-inch mains.
