Municipal Filtration Company (MFC)
About
Municipal Filtration Company (MFC) is a US-based manufacturer of fixed plate cloth media filtration systems and custom stainless steel tankage for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment. MFC's core design principle is eliminating all submerged moving parts — the cloth media filter plates remain stationary at all times, relying instead on differential head, compressed air, and a series of pneumatic valves to control the filtration cycle. The result is a system with no pumps, drive motors, chain gears, high-pressure spray bars, or backwash manifolds inside the filter basin. The MFC-P packaged filter series handles flows from 10 GPM to 6.0 MGD in an all-stainless-steel vessel with vertically oriented cloth panels that reduce footprint and installation cost. The MFC-C modular filter system is designed for installation into new or existing concrete tanks and basins, also with 100% stainless steel internal construction. Rounding out the product line are fixed weir boxes and custom stainless steel tanks for influent and effluent flow measurement, splitting, equalization, chemical pre-mixing, and storage — all modeled in 3D and validated through finite element analysis before fabrication. All MFC equipment is designed, fabricated, and assembled in the USA.
