About
Glasco UV is a woman-owned American manufacturer of ultraviolet water disinfection systems based in Mahwah, New Jersey, with over 1,500 installations worldwide. The company produces four distinct UV disinfection product lines spanning municipal wastewater, drinking water, industrial process water, and aquaculture applications. The NONCON 5000 series employs a patented flow-through fluoropolymer (FEP/Teflon) tube reactor where UV lamps sit in air while water flows through transparent tubes, delivering chemical-free, non-contact, non-conductive disinfection at 254nm germicidal wavelength — a design in use since 2006. Their Vertical UV systems use amalgam lamp technology for high-flow applications at 30-inch or 60-inch water depths, featuring compact footprint and streamlined maintenance; Glasco installed the industry's first vertical amalgam system in 2003. The Chambered series uses low-pressure UV lamps in configurable chambers for flexible sizing in wastewater disinfection — a design Glasco has deployed since the 1980s. The Horizontal product line immerses lamps directly in the wastewater channel, offered as packaged stainless steel channels or concrete-embedded units, with installations dating to the 1990s. All three immersed designs have been biologically validated at the Johnstown UV testing center by HydroQual. Glasco also provides replacement parts, service, and system retrofits for existing UV installations.
