Fluidyne
About
Fluidyne is a US-based manufacturer of proprietary wastewater treatment process equipment, supplying municipal and industrial wastewater treatment systems for over 40 years. The company's flagship ISAM (Integrated Surge Anoxic Mix) system provides complete wastewater treatment incorporating BOD, TSS, and nitrogen removal with sludge reduction in a single integrated process where raw sewage enters a covered anaerobic reactor for pretreatment, sludge thickening, and hydrolysis of complex organic solids. The SAM (Surge Anoxic Mix) tank serves as a standalone process control component for anoxic mixing. Fluidyne's SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactor) performs biological oxidation, sedimentation, nitrification, and denitrification within a single tank, featuring a patented fixed solids-excluding decanter with no moving parts in the basin. The Jet MCR (Multi-Channel Orbital) upgrades existing oxidation ditches by replacing surface rotors with jet aeration and mixing to improve nitrogen and phosphorus removal while reducing power consumption. For headworks treatment, the Hydro-Grit system provides vortex grit separation in both high-efficiency and standard-efficiency configurations, paired with a dedicated Grit Classifier for washed and dewatered grit disposal. Fluidyne's jet aeration, aspiration, and mixing systems deliver high oxygen transfer and complete mixing for SBRs, oxidation ditches, extended aeration, and BNR applications. Fixed and floating decanters provide effluent withdrawal. The company serves small-to-medium communities, food processing plants, dairies, chemical plants, and municipal wastewater utilities across North America, with installations in Athens TN, Bellevue OH, and Mabou NS.
Key Products

Process control and treatment tank that provides rapid, complete anoxic mixing for wastewater treatment, serving as a mainstay component in newer Fluidyne systems.
Complete batch treatment system performing biological oxidation, sedimentation, nitrification, and denitrification in a single tank with a patented fixed solids-excluding decanter and influent diffuser.
Oxidation ditch upgrade system that replaces existing surface rotors with jet aeration and mixing equipment to improve nutrient removal and increase organic and hydraulic capacity while reducing power consumption.
High-efficiency vortex grit separation system for removing grit and inorganic material from wastewater treatment plant headworks.
Standard-efficiency vortex grit separation system for grit removal at wastewater treatment facilities.
Mechanical classifier that washes and dewaters grit separated by the Hydro-Grit system for clean, dry grit disposal.
Submerged jet aeration system providing economical and effective oxygen transfer and complete mixing for activated sludge, SBRs, oxidation ditches, and BNR processes.
Jet aspiration system that aspirates air into the mixing section via a double nozzle assembly for simple, efficient, and cost-effective oxygen transfer in wastewater treatment.
Hydraulic jet mixing system for flow equalization basins, CSO tanks, anoxic reactors, anaerobic digesters, SBRs, and other mixing applications.
Patented solids-excluding fixed decanter with no moving parts in the basin, submerged to prevent freezing, for effluent withdrawal from SBRs and treatment tanks.
All-hydraulic floating decanter that moves with changing water levels for effluent withdrawal from lagoons, digesters, EQ basins, aeration basins, and SBRs.
Sludge reduction system integrated within the ISAM process that reduces waste biosolids volume through anaerobic pretreatment and hydrolysis of organic solids.
