Krofta
About
Krofta, part of the Waterleau Group, has developed Dissolved Air Flotation technology since Dr. Milos Krofta's foundational work in 1972, with manufacturing operations in the United States since 1947. The company specializes exclusively in DAF systems for water and wastewater clarification, offering four distinct product lines. The Supracell is Krofta's original and most widely deployed DAF unit, engineered for compact footprint and high suspended solids removal efficiency. The Multifloat provides ultra-compact DAF performance designed for variable flow rates and load conditions. The Sandfloat integrates flocculation, flotation, and sand filtration into a single vessel, making it suitable for drinking water production and industrial process water treatment. The Spray Filter targets fiber separation and recovery in pulp and paper applications. All Krofta systems incorporate the company's Air Dissolving Tube technology for efficient micro-bubble generation, along with sludge blanket controllers and pH adjustment systems. The Krofta Cockpit digital control platform automates the flotation process to improve separation rates and system stability. Krofta also offers plug-and-play rental DAF units for temporary capacity needs, Kroftacare treatment chemicals, and aftermarket spare parts and technical assistance. Key industries served include pulp and paper, dairy, meat and protein processing, seed oil, soft drinks and juices, and oil and gas.
