Hoffman & Lamson
About
Hoffman and Lamson, operating under the Gardner Denver Nash Division, have manufactured multistage centrifugal blowers and exhausters for over a century, with Lamson established in 1880 and Hoffman in 1905. More than 100,000 units operate worldwide. The current product line spans low-flow models such as the Lamson 260 (80 to 430 CFM), Lamson 310, and Lamson 400; medium-flow units including the Hoffman 42, Lamson 510 and 550, Hoffman 732, 741, 742, and 751, and Lamson 850 and 870; and high-flow models reaching 70,100 CFM. Standard blower packages are available on eight-week lead times for popular models including the Lamson 310, Hoffman 42, Lamson 550, Hoffman 732, Lamson 850, Hoffman 741, Lamson 1260, and Hoffman 751, with Standard Plus options for up to six customizations. Key engineering features include multiple baffle rings for reduced inlet losses, a balance piston negating axial thrust to extend bearing life, individually balanced shrouded impellers, and labyrinth seals augmented by the MAXSeal option that cuts fugitive emissions by up to 67 percent. Beyond multistage centrifugal units, the company supplies positive displacement blowers in rotary lobe and screw configurations, the REVOLUTION PLUS high-speed turbo blower series from 10 to 700 horsepower, and regenerative blowers under the TurboPak and TurboTron names. Primary wastewater applications include aeration, aerated grit chambers, filter backwash, gas boosting for anaerobic digestion, membrane bioreactors, sequencing batch reactors, and sewage sludge incineration.
