About

Hobas Pipe USA, headquartered in Houston, Texas, has manufactured centrifugally cast fiberglass reinforced polymer mortar (CCFRPM) pipe for North American municipal infrastructure since 1987. A wholly owned subsidiary of WIG Wietersdorfer Holding GmbH (Klagenfurt, Austria, founded 1893), Hobas produces three core product lines: circular CCFRPM pipe from 18-inch through 126-inch diameters, non-circular NC-FRP pipe profiles for trenchless rehabilitation of existing conduits, and fiberglass reinforced watertight structural manhole systems. CCFRPM pipe is available in pressure classes from 0 psi (gravity) through 250 psi and stiffness classes from SN18 through SN72, with joint options including FWC couplings and bell-spigot configurations. The manhole system features tee bases, riser sections (48-inch and 60-inch), and cones with 24-, 30-, or 36-inch cover openings, rated to AASHTO HS20/HS25 traffic loads with 25 psi internal and 100 psi external pressure ratings. Hobas pipe conforms to ASTM D3262 (gravity sewer), ASTM D3754 (force main/industrial), and AWWA C950/D3517 (potable water) standards, with NSF 61 certification for drinking water. Installation methods span direct bury, sliplining, microtunneling, jacking, and pipe bursting. The product line includes elbows, tees, wyes, reducers, nozzles, flanges, and laterals.
