Hermann Träxler GmbH
About
Hermann Träxler GmbH, founded in 1972 in Ginsheim-Gustavsburg, Germany, is a family-owned manufacturer specializing in draft tube mixers for anaerobic digester tanks at municipal wastewater treatment plants. Now led by brothers Armin and Michael Träxler, the company operates from two facilities covering 15,000 square meters with in-house CAD design, mechanical production, and on-site installation capabilities, serving over 150 municipal wastewater customers. The flagship product is the TMA Draft Tube Mixer, an ATEX Zone 0-certified unit (TÜV 05 ATEX 7157 X, Directive 2014/34/EU) capable of flow rates exceeding 6,500 cubic meters per hour for digestion towers up to 12,000 cubic meters in volume. The TMA operates through a central draft tube pipe, circulating sludge bottom-up to remove sediment and prevent floating scum (Mode A), or top-down to break up foam and floating layers (Mode B). Träxler offers three installation configurations — gas hood, support plate, and concrete foundation — and provides customer-specific gas hoods with integrated monitoring systems. With more than 250 new mixers produced and installed worldwide and over 500 repairs of all mixer brands across 30 years, Träxler also delivers ATEX-certified conversions, annual maintenance service across Europe, and comprehensive spare parts supply including reengineering and reproduction of legacy components.
