Henkel's Infrastructure Repair and Protect (IPR) group, operating through brands including GeoTree Solutions, Advanced Valve Technologies (AVT), Fyfe, LOCTITE, LifeLast, Stopaq, Polyken, Canusa, Covalence, and Powercrete, addresses the global challenge of aging water and wastewater infrastructure with rehabilitation, strengthening, and protection technologies. GeoTree Solutions, founded in 2011, pioneered the first geopolymer mortar specifically designed for trenchless wastewater infrastructure rehabilitation. The flagship LOCTITE GeoSpray geopolymer mortar is a just-add-water formulation that eliminates the alkaline solutions required by earlier geopolymer systems while delivering physical performance superior to ordinary Portland cement. It is applied via spray application to rehabilitate culverts, manholes, and deteriorated concrete structures from within, eliminating the need for excavation. For structural strengthening, LOCTITE RenewWrap CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer) systems rehabilitate and reinforce bridges, columns, pipes, and tanks using near-surface-mounted Aslan NSM CFRP bars and EZ-Slit no-fray cutting technology. The broader IPR portfolio includes valve installation systems that enable line-stop and hot-tap connections without shutting off flow, large-diameter pipeline lining and structural reinforcement systems, manhole rehabilitation solutions, steel water line and tank protective coatings, machine-applied tape coatings for large pipelines, heat-shrink sleeve applications, and liquid epoxy coating systems. These technologies are deployed across civil, industrial, commercial, and underground infrastructure markets, helping utilities extend asset life while minimizing service disruptions and reducing risk.
